The new Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and the Bank Negara Malaysia Art Gallery are two upcoming visitor attractions for the Malaysian public. With a mission to educate visitors, these two state of the art attractions are poised to be the leading Central Bank museum and art gallery that goes beyond the conventional realities of general museums around the region.
Both the museum and the art gallery will be situated within the vicinity of the upcoming Sasana Kijang complex on Bukit Persekutuan in Kuala Lumpur. The museum consists of 5 galleries which are the children’s gallery, the Islamic Banking and finance gallery, the economic and monetary gallery, the corporate gallery, the numismatic gallery as well as the Bank Negara Malaysia Art Gallery.

Senior Executive - Assistant Curator

Role Purpose:
To assist in curatorial services and administer programs and activities for the Economic Gallery. Research and develop temporary exhibits. Ensure the safety of exhibits, plan and execute public programmes and ensure upkeep of exhibits.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Vital role in maintaining and developing intellectual content for gallery exhibits
- Responsible for daily operations of gallery
- Conduct research and develop engaging public programs for target audiences
- Develop contacts with other cultural and educational partners
- Liaise with Marketing and Promotions department to develop effective promotional programs
- Plan and produce temporary exhibits
- Contact with exhibition designers, technical program suppliers and creative producers

Academic Qualifications / Skills:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, in economy, finance, mass communication, public relations, museum studies, creative studies or other relevant disciplines with minimum CGPA 3.00 or 2nd Class Upper and Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English at SPM level
- Candidates with Economics with some creative backround are invited to apply
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
- At least 3 years of working experience in the area of museology, galleries’ exhibitions, mass communication, public relations, advertising , economic and financial sector.
- Proven ability and experience in public relations or marketing. Generating awareness via educational or public programmes is advantageous. Brand management experience preferred.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Kuala Lumpur.
- Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
