ACCOUNTANT / ASST. ACCOUNTANT - Company : Tomypak Berhad

We are an established flexible plastic packaging manufacturer in Johor and listed on Bursa Malaysia.

In view of our expansion plan, we would like to invite suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of:

ACCOUNTANT / ASST. ACCOUNTANT
(Johor - Tampoi)

 

Responsibilities:

    * Supervise Accounts & Costing team in the day-to-day operations of the department.
    * Responsible for monthly, annual financial closing of accounts, consolidation of accounts and inventory costing.
    * Responsible for quarterly announcement to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
    * Ensure compliance with accounting standards and liaise with auditors in relation to half-yearly audits & preparation of statutory accounts.
    * Ensure compliance with local tax rules, liaise with tax agent and tax authorities for corporate tax matters.
    * Assist with annual budgeting and forecasts, preparation of variance analysis.
    * Assist in financial analysis, internal controls, policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with internal control policy and liaise with internal auditors relating to internal control issues.
    * Assist in the development of ERP system.
    * Any other additional responsibilities assigned from time to time

Requirements:

    * For Accountant, candidate must be a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
    * For Assistant Accountant, candidate must possess at least a recognised Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or finalist of professional accounting qualification, i.e. ACCA/CIMA.
    * At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the manufacturing environment (ideally from local listed companies).
    * Candidate with exposure in audit experience with leading auditing firms is an added advantage.
    * Well versed in MS Office, familiar with Microsoft Navision or other ERP system.
    * Hands-on approach and strong commitment to the job
    * Possess a high level of accuracy, attention to details and sound technical accounting expertise.
    * Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
    * Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
