Principle Accountabilities:

The Manager will:
  • Lead weekly, monthly and quarterly close, budgeting and long range planning and forecasting for department

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in US GAAP and Costing, and hands on experience in preparing PL forecast
  • Stable job history

The Job:
  • To ensure the accounts payable, bank reconciliation, journals and general functions are performed in an effective and efficient manner
  • Prepare accounting transaction vouchers and check daily vouchers
  • Prepare cheques for payments
  • Assist in preparing monthly accounting statement, analysis and report
  • Assist accounting team in daily banking, cashier and accounting matters
  • Preparation of Debit/Credit notes through Inter-Company for the group

The Person:

General Summary:

Responsibilities:
  • Develops & implements goals and objectives for the account department, interprets and explains applicable rules, laws and regulations to supervisors and others;
  • Manages the preparation and maintenance of a variety of financial records and reports, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgets and fixed assets;
  • Oversees finance resources; assigns work activities, monitors work flow & implements needed work process improvements;

  • Prepare forecasted cash flow and budgeted revenue and cost.
  • To control and monitor inter-company transactions and balances.
  • Handle audit and tax matter.

Requirements:
  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree or Master's Degree a Finance/Accounting related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work independently and able to maintain confidentiality.

Finance Manager (Shared Service Center)

Requirements:
  • Degree holder and Professional qualification eg. ACCA, MICPA or MIA

Other Requirements:
  • At least 7 years of working experience with 3 years being in managerial position in financial reporting is required for this position
  • Candidate with experience in Shared Service Centre (SSC) will be an added advantage

Job Responsibilities:
  • Managing the Asia Shared Service Center for Asia contries except Japan, China and India
  • Responsible for the full spectrum of the company’s finance, accounting, and tax function for Malaysia except for Credit and Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Managing overall staffing of shared service center including hiring, training, motivating, developing evaluating and directing the staffs, supervising their daily operations
  • Supervise day-to-day financial accounting activities and sub function including general accounting, accounts payables, account receivables, asset accounting, intercompany billings etc
  • Ensure the timely and accuracy of monthly reporting with full compliance to US GAAP and local statutory requirements
  • Analyze, monitor and report the progress of specific performance indicators and key milestones for local finance and SSC (Shared Service Centre)
  • Monitor compliance to accounting standards and policies and also adherence to Company’s operating policies and procedures
  • Evaluate the financial and operational procedures for adequacy and effectiveness from the perspective of internal controls and SOX compliance
  • Liaise with auditors, lawyers, company secretaries, tax agent, bank, Inland Revenue Board and other statutory bodies/authorities in ensuring compliance to all statutory requirements
  • Managing tax planning and reporting activities and provide a liaison with the regulatory authorities
  • Engage and liaise with corporate and local advisors for major tax matters
  • Accountable for transfer pricing documentation preparation, maintenance, review, advise, update and revision as required
  • To ensure strong linkages are established with HQ, Regional finance to supporting the overall financial management of the company
  • 5 days week with MNC working environment
  • Candidate must be willing to work in Petaling Jaya
