FINANCE ADVISOR DISTRIBUTION – Company : Shell (Malaysia)

You will be a member of the Malaysia and Singapore Distribution Finance Team that strives to provide world-class finance services to its key stakeholders. Your will contribute to the planning cycle and periodic appraisals of the financial and certain operational performances of the Shell's Distribution business to the success of business goals. Your key responsibilities include financial planning and appraisal, application of Shell's accounting policies and/or other relevant accounting standards, implementation and monitoring of financial controls.

Finance Advisor Distribution
(Kuala Lumpur - Shell House, Malaysia)

Responsibilities:

- Manage and support business optimisation initiatives to ensure an effective operation of the Distribution Business Model, including initiatives to develop the business as well as identifying and implementation cost savings for the business;
- Coordinate and drive the business planning process for Malaysia and Singapore Distribution, following the global standards and ensuring efficiency of the process in line with the global standards. Ensure strong alignment with key stakeholders: Distribution Business, Business Partners and Shell Shared Service Center;
- Implement a comprehensive and fit for purpose financial support to achievement of planned costs and profitability objectives. This includes a monthly and quarterly result analysis with the three key stakeholder groups; Local management, regional/global management and the Distribution Business partners;
- Work in full compliance with Shell accounting standard, IFRS, IAS etc;
- Assist the Distribution Finance Manager in maintaining a fit for purpose, risk based controls framework, assurance process and controls compliance, including business planning, MI, credit management, investment evaluation, risk management, -SOX/RDS key controls and accounting integrity.

Requirements:

- Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or qualified Accountant with at least 5 years of working experience in finance field, preferably with a minimum 3 years of audit experience;
- A member of MIA or other accounting bodies will be added advantage;
- Proven strong analytical skills and ability to understand commercial drivers of the business;
- Sound communication and inter-personal skills, the ability to influence and coordinate;
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential for this position;
- Authorisation to work in Malaysia is required for this position.

Possess preferably a degree holder in logistics or supply chain discipline;
Have minimum 3 years of experience in warehousing operations; Understanding of basic lubricants product knowledge and manufacturing will be an added advantag;Possess SAP and WMS skills
