GROUP FINANCE MANAGER – Location : Malaysia

Group Finance Manager

Our client is a leading and one of the pioneer property developers in Selangor. It was established since 1970 and has successfully completed and delivered housing projects worth more than RM100 million. Some of the development projects are highly sought after by both home / shop / office buyers and investors.

Location: Klang, Selangor
Salary Range: Up to RM 7,000 per month + Benefits

The Job:

- Implement appropriate finance strategies and action plans for the company.
- Prepare, implement and maintain especially in relation to billing, collections, purchasing and payments an effective set of internal controls, system documentation & computer system.
- Manage the accounting and finance activities of the company including budgeting control and cash flow management in line with corporate objectives.
- Oversee the timely preparation of monthly & yearly financial statements, management reports, budgeting, forecasting of Profit and Loss, cash flow report and others.
- Tax planning and administration in ensuring that an efficient and effective tax structure is in place.
- Monitor cash flow on a weekly basis and prepare the projected cash flow statements.
- Responsible for the financial analysis and analytical reviews.
- Monitor the progressive billings & payment to / from property purchasers, end-financiers and main contractors.
- Oversee property sales documentation between the purchasers, solicitors & end-financiers and prepare necessary internal controls to prevent discrepancies.
- Ensure company’s compliance with the Companies Act 1965
- Developing and implementing financial systems and tools to assist the Business Unit in its operations.
- Oversee sales admin department on smoothly billing / collection.
- Advise the Managing Director in valuation, financial analysis and taxation from time to time.
- Liaise with tax agents, solicitors & other regulatory bodies on company’s tax, legal & licensing matters.
- Liaise with external auditors on operational / statutory audits.
- Liaise with bankers and submit applications for credit facilities.
- Providing coaching and mentoring to subordinates.

The person:

- Degree in Accounting and / or professional qualifications.
- Must be a member of MIA.
- At least 5 to 8 years of relevant post qualifying experience.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin. Ability to speak Hokkien is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of accounting information systems.
- Possesses analytical and strategic skills.
- A good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self starter with initiative and ability to meet tight reporting deadlines in a challenging corporate environment.
- Females preferred.
