FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

(Based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor)

Responsibilities:

• Consolidation of group accounts for operations in both local and overseas.
• Detailed analysis of accounts.
• Providing financial and management information to senior managers.
• Designing consolidation packages.
• Formulating financial policies and procedures at group level.
• Conducting queries and investigations on areas of concern.
• Liaising and coordinating with domestic accounting staff on accounting issues.
• Routine inspection and verification of accounting and financial records in consolidated companies.
• Assisting in fund raising for business expansion and capital expenditure.
• Improving and adding value to management information and reporting systems.
• Liaising with relevant authorities on tax and treasury matters.
• Attending to ad-hoc project assignments from time to time.
  

Requirements:

• Good understanding of investment, manufacturing, property and construction practices.
• Familiarity with IFRS and FRS.
• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or relevant discipline.
• Must be a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants or equivalent.
• Work experience in multinational companies, public listed companies or international audit firms.
• Good command of English and Mandarin.
• Previous relevant work experience in China is an added advantage.
• Advanced knowledge in Excel analysis tools.
• Hands on in financial accounting.
• Minimum relevant work experience of at least four years.
• Able to travel on regular and frequent basis.
• Willing to learn and gain overseas experience.
• Problem solver and system oriented approach.
• Able to work long hours and under pressure to meet deadlines.
