Key Responsibilities:
  • Equity accounting for investments;
  • Preparation of budget and forecast;
  • Tax planning and management;
  • Accounting operations management, including monthly book-close;
  • Technical accounting guidance to staff;

Job Requirements:
  • Education / Professional Qualification: Accountancy Degree or Professional qualification from a recognized university/institute. Certified Public Accountant (CPA);
  • Work Experiences: More than 10 years' relevant experience in management position, preferably in China.
  • Required Competencies:
  1. Support the CFO in strategic planning on company growth; must be resourceful and possess keen business acumen and high level of integrity.
  2. Work closely with the local JV in a hands-on role to manage all aspects of the financial functions of the subsidiaries, coordinate project financing, development with contractors, investors, developers and bankers.
  3. Focus primarily in analyzing project feasibility, project performance, reviewing project timeline and cost analysis as well as overseeing project financial performance.
  4. Responsible for project initial management process including regulatory procedures, compliance with local laws and project quality and delivery.
  5. Matured self-starter with excellent interpersonal, management and analytical financial skills.
  6. Self-motivated, meticulous and committed individual who can work well under pressure.
  7. Good presentation & communication skills and the ability to work as a team.
  • Language Proficiency: Good command of spoken & written English & Mandarin;

Financial Controller

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Our client is a multinational company in the FMCG industry. The client is looking for a Financial Controller to be based in Shanghai.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct and Co-ordinate the prompt and efficient delivery of management reports; provide sound financial and business advice to the senior management team
  • Manage the finance and accounting function to ensure financial reports are consolidated on a monthly basis according to both international GAAP and Chinese financial reporting requirements. In the meantime, keep developing and improving company accounting policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of accounting records.
  • Prepare necessary finance and accounting information as required by US headquarters and local regulatory bodies
  • Implement finance best practices, internal control policies and procedures and management information systems. Improve accounting operations to better identify and track financial performances.
  • Implement performance measures to evaluate/analyse the efficiency and performance of each division; provide timely and relevant management information to facilitate senior management’s/headquarters’ proactive decision making.
  • Prepare financial reports for senior management team and present findings and recommendations to the CFO.
  • Demonstrate expertise in a variety of accounting, financial operational concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Identify and facilitate process improvements through re-engineering of company-wide reporting processes.
  • Monthly review of financial performance with department heads by providing meaningful analyses and financial insights into opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Liaise with the Company’s auditors on specific accounting issues (working closely with CFO to resolve accounting treatment discrepancies) to ensure timely release of annual reports.
  • Prepare annual budget, monthly & quarterly forecasts (rolling & re-forecasts), capital expenditure analyses and planning.
  • Assist the CFO in merger & acquisition analyses & due diligence support.
  • Support post-merger accounting integration.
  • Recruit, motivate, train and retain finance and accounting staff in headquarters as well as field operations.
  • Provide sound financial analysis and support to special projects
Requirements:
  • Degree holder in accounting and/or professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA, ICMA, CPA)
  • Candidates should be familiar with USGAAP, SOX.
  • Candidates should have at least 10 years financial management experiences, with experience in FMCG sector (preferred but not required)
  • An articulate and business-minded individual with strong desire to perform
  • A self-motivated, energetic and smart individual
  • Multinationals and/or Big 4 audit firms working experience preferred

Financial Controller
Location :Doumen, Zhuhai, China
Reports to:Campus Senior Director

Purpose:

This position is responsible for the total Accounting/Finance function for in Zhuhai, South China operations. This includes leading and managing the accounting/finance team and managing the accounting & financial process in accordance with corporate guidelines. This position reports to the Campus Senior Director (direct) and to the local Operations General Manager (indirect).

Principle Accountabilities:

The Manager will:
  • Oversee the activities of the Accounting/Finance Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, monthly 12 month rolling forecasts and annual audits.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value, including complying with the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
  • Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Review company financial statements for accuracy and clarity.
  • Managing Financial Accounting and Controls.
Requirements:
  • Ten or more year’s progressively responsible accounting or finance experience.
  • 3 or more years as the senior leader in an accounting or finance organization in a related industry
  • Demonstrated ability to positively lead and manage a team in a fast paced, change oriented environment.
  • Strong working knowledge preferred in area of Management Accounting such as reporting, analysis, costing & pricing and inventory control.
  • Strong working knowledge preferred in area of Financial Accounting such as general ledger/general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or credit control, payroll, corporate tax and banking/treasury.
  • Experience with BaaN ERP and OutlookSoft/Cognos preferred. Demonstrated expert ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and other database programs.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Masters degree in related field preferred.
  • Member of Institute of Accountant would be added advantage.
