Job Description
  • Check PR/PO/SWO/Email requests are attached to invoices
  • Prepare invoices to zerorise expenses related to a group of vessels & Labuan expenses.
  • Upload and post petty cash and ship fund data into the accounting system.
  • Raise necessary VOC invoices to EMM after verifying all VOC statements are in order.
  • Prepare & analyze AP ageing and identify due payments followed by upload into Maybank Autocredit System(MAS). Prepare bank instruction letters for authoriszd signatures.
  • Run AP aging on monthly basis & inform the relevant parties of their latest status via emails.
  • Perform reconciliation of inter-co balances and resolve any discrepancies with relevant parties. Follow up by updating the inter-co matrix.
  • Prepare recurring journal vouchers for accrued and prepaid expenses.
  • Prepare financial statement i.e Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss & Vessel Profit & Loss.
  • Prepare bank reconciliation & resolve any un-reconciled items.
  • Update cash book for any payments made or receipts from customers.
  • Reconciliation of petty cash & ship fund on a monthly basis.
Job Requirements
  • Min. Degree/Diploma in Accounting & Finance
  • At least 3 years of working experience, preferably with offshore companies
  • Must be able to work independently and under pressure (at time)
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Good communication skill
  • A team player
  • Working location in Kuala Lumpur

He / she is expected to handle fixed assets recording & updates, which includes updating fixed assets register and related journal entries.

Requirements :
  • Diploma / LCCI in Accounting or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years accounting experience and able to handle full set of accounts independently, preferably in related field.
  • Knowledge in UBS Accounting and UBS Stock Software will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.

Primary Responsibilities :

  3. Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
  4. Resolve accounting discrepancies.
  5. Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
  6. Develop the annual operating budget and consult with departmental management on the fiscal aspects of program planning and other administrative actions.
  7. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications.
  8. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
  9. Other duties as assigned.
